The legendary Russian grandmaster and former world chess champion, Garry Kasparov, had earlier gone to X to greet Praggnanandha’s mom. “Congratulations to @rpragchess — and his mother. As someone whose proud mom accompanied me to every event, that’s a special support for me! An Indian from Chennai defeated two New York cowboys! He was very persistent in difficult positions,” he wrote.
