USA’s Love Island Season 5 premiered on July 18, 2023, and saw a cast of 12 singles, including Leonardo Dionicio, looking for love while also aiming for that $100,000 cash prize.

While in the villa, the Islanders have phones to communicate with each other via SMS and receive updates on challenges, discards and reunions.
The show features various games and challenges to test physical and mental abilities, and winners receive special prizes such as a night at the Hideaway or a date. Islanders can be eliminated if they remain single after reuniting or via public votes on the Love Island app. In the final week, the public votes to decide on the winning couple, who receive two envelopes – one with $100,000 and the other empty. The partner with the money envelope can choose whether to share it or keep it, testing trust and commitment.
Leonard was joined on the fifth episode of Love Island USA by his co-stars Anna Kurdys, Carmen Kocourek, Carsten “Bergie” Bergersen, Destiny Davis, Hannah Wright, Jasmine Sklavanitis, Kassy Castillo, Keenan Anunay, Marco Donatelli, Vickala “Kay Kay” Gray and Victor González.
