Logan Mwangi’s evil mum shows cops how she punished son, 5, moments after crying fake tears over his brutal murder

THIS is a chilling moment. The mother of Logan Mwangi’s killer has shown officers how she punished her son after he cried fake tears over his murder.

Little Logan was found with “severe injuries” comparable to a car crash “at high speed” after being thrown like “fly tipped rubbish” into the river.

His mother Angharad Williamson (30), stepfather John Cole (40) and his 14-year-old half-brother Craig Mulligan were jailed for the murder in 2021.

Between them, the sadistic trio concocted an “elaborate charade” to cover up his death after they all engaged in a gruesome campaign of torture against the young man.

Little Logan’s tragic death is now being explored in the Discovery+ show Faking It using never-before-seen police interview footage.

Body language expert Dr Cliff Lansley explained how Williamson revealed her guilt in her son’s murder with telltale signs.

The evil mum sobbed as she told how she put Logan to bed the night before he disappeared from the home in Sarno, South Wales.

But Dr. Lansley points out that Williamson is only doing “a few dry sniffs” that indicate a lack of real grief over her son’s death.

He adds: “We can’t see the face clearly enough to see if there are genuine tears, but what we can see is the head drooping further, the hands clenching and we can hear a quality to the voice, more like ‘whining’ rather than ‘genuine sadness.’

“Besides, there are the illustrators he uses. He tries too hard. This kind of over-the-top illustrators need to try to convince people, which you don’t need to do if you’re telling the truth.

“If you look at the tip of the nose, we get this slight shake of the head ‘no.’ So these affirmative statements ‘I put him to bed’ and ‘I tucked him in’ are very likely to be deceptive because seeing the body is telling us the truth that, ‘no, this didn’t happen’.”

As the interview continues, Williamson suddenly becomes defensive when asked about the flickering lights in Logan’s bedroom.

She claimed that she woke up and saw that the boy was gone, but it soon turned out that the lights had been on and off during the night while she was alone in the house.

Moments later, the shadowy figures of Cole and the teenager were seen on CCTV leaving the property carrying a lifeless Logan.

dr. Lansley said the transition between apparent grief and defensiveness during questioning occurs in “seconds.”

She adds: “Wow, what a recovery. Now she’s using a tone that’s a little aggressive and saying she didn’t turn on the light.

“But if we remember, seconds before this she was trying to act sad. Does this sound like she’s still in a sad state? She’s very strong and determined.”

Logan was murdered at home on July 31, 2021, before his mother, stepfather and half-brother concocted a web of lies.

The 3ft 5in youngster was crammed into a Nike bag that was only 2ft 2in long.

He was pulled from the River Ogmore near his home in ill-fitting pyjamas.

Tragic Logan suffered 56 external injuries to his head, face, torso, arms and legs from “blunt force trauma”.

The gruesome catalog of injuries included a broken shoulder, extensive bleeding on the scalp and back of the head, and significant brain trauma.

Logan was beaten so badly that even his tongue was bruised, but tragically he was still alive for a few agonizing hours after his liver and intestines were ripped open.

During the harrowing trial, jurors were told how Logan suffered horrific abuse that led to his death.

Witnesses said that Cole subjected the boy to gruesome torture methods from the time he was just three years old.

The abuse included forcing him to do pull-ups until he started crying and standing for long periods of time.

When his frail arms went limp under him, Cole would force him back into place and restart the timer.

The 6ft 4in National Front member also called the youngster “Coco Pop” and “dehumanized” Logan because of his mixed heritage.

Cole, who has previous convictions for crimes including burglary, theft, witness intimidation, blackmail, abuse and perverting the course of justice, has also carried out other brutal punishments.

Little Logan was made to stand on the stairs for 30 minutes at a time, and mom Williamson once burned his neck with a hot spoon.

He also suffered emotional abuse and was banned from eating takeout while his family was at KFC.

Williamson can be seen in the documentary re-enacting past moments where she grabbed her son by the shoulders and shook him to get him to “stop lying”.

dr. Lansley explains that this is the only time Mom shows any real emotion because it’s probably easier for her when Logan is hurt.

He said: “She’s reliving some physical moments she’s had in the past. And that happens because, when we tell lies, we make up a story, which isn’t easy, but we also have to suppress the truth inside.

“And sometimes when we’re reminiscing about an episode, we go back there and listen to the sounds and replay the video, and sometimes we replay the moments. Her body shows us what probably happened the moment Logan got hurt.”

During the trial, Caroline Rees QC, prosecuting, said she played “the part of a distraught mother as best she could play”.

She continued the “disgusting show” when officers arrived at the family home and continued to lie down after Logan was found in the river.

Her cruel facade continued even in prison where she “never shed a tear” and only opened the water taps when the guards came to check on her and she had a captive audience.

On the night she was charged with her son’s murder, Williamson drank Married At First Sight Australia and stuffed herself with snacks in prison.

As the trial progressed, it turned out that she tried to cover up her own guilt by blaming the other two defendants.

But all three were convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison in June 2022.

Mulligan received a minimum sentence of 15 years, Williamson received a minimum sentence of 28 years, while Cole will serve a minimum of 29 years.

A safeguarding review published in November found that various agencies had missed multiple opportunities to save the cub.

It was concluded that Logan died in a “behind closed doors” murder after he was struck off the child protection register.

The review also revealed that social workers were so obsessed with Williamson and Cole and their three-way relationship with Mulligan’s mum that they missed what was going on with Logan.

Forensic psychologist Kerry Daynes tells the show: “It was really quite disturbing.

“What is evident is that Logan did not die immediately from his injuries, but would have suffered severe pain for a long time.

“There was an opportunity to get help for Logan, and neither of them made that choice. He died in the most horrible way, probably alone.”
