One Piece Odyssey is a mix of more linear areas and some open zones where you can freely go, fight, level up, do side quests and just explore. While it may seem appropriate to indulge your adventurous side right away, you’ll want to curb that enthusiasm at least until you reach Chapter 4. A new wrinkle in the battles are the dramatic cutscenes that you can choose to run or not run as optional bonus objectives. This can include winning a fight in one turn, using a certain character to win against an enemy, or even just making the fight more difficult by hitting the enemy.
Speed up and use auto battle

Finally, once you get into the swing of things, normal battles will become trivial. To avoid burnout, you can do two things. First, switch the battle speed to the fast setting to fly through cool but sometimes long attack animations. Second, you can turn on auto-battle mode by selecting it in your Tactics menu. Once turned on, it will stay on until you manually turn it off, even if you start a boss battle, and will not pay attention to dramatic cutscenes. You should still pay attention while using auto-battle just in case, but it’s pretty safe to throw if you’re going back through a previous area full of weak enemies.
