Car restorations have found a niche in the market. No wonder, after the great success of series like Car Masters and Drive Hard, Netflix is back with another masterpiece called Tex Mex Motors. According to their official synopsis, Tex Mex Motors brings “junk” cars to the workshop to be turned into “gems”.
Overall, the series follows the team at a shop right on the Mexico-US border, in El Paso, Texas, as they aim to raise $250,000 before heading deeper into Mexico to find and restore even more cars.
The shop is run/owned by Mike Coy where Wesley works as the team’s head fabricator.
Mike describes him as “sort of a quiet genius”.
Other members of Tex Mex Motors are Robert ‘Rabbit’ Pitts (sales guru), Scooter Wreyton (car scout), Jenicio Adame (newbie) and Jaime Hjelm (motor and electrical expert).

Wesley Zachary married his wife Chelsea Dean Zachary on August 16, 2018.
His wife, Chelsea, graduated from the University of North Florida, Texas A&M University-Commerce and Paris Junior College, and worked with Wesley at Zachary Customs, as a business office manager. Prior to that, she was a probation officer for Hunt County and an adult detention officer for the Rockwall County Sheriff’s Office.

Wesley and Chelsea have a daughter together named Grace.
Also, Wesley has three other children from his previous marriage to Kelli Sawyer (an employee of 12 Oaks Senior Living). Among them, his son remains anonymous, while his daughters are called Layla and Taylor.
His daughter Layla graduated from college in 2023 at the age of 18.
As for Taylor, she is a Bryant & Stratton College Associates Human/Social Services graduate who worked as a “Big 2 Little 3 Lead Teacher” at Caddo Kids Academy. In 2023, she resided in Greenville, Texas with her husband, Michael Hampton.
