Ben Argall often shared his flips on social media. So, as always, it was a normal day for the realtor, until the Beach Battle casting director saw his flop and asked him to be on the HGTV show.
He was then paired with a licensed carpenter in the area, Peter Meldrum, for the battle.
Battle on the Beach followed three teams, including Ben and Peter, as they were coached by celebrity mentors and design experts Taniya Nayak, Ty Pennington and Alison Victoria.
These three teams were tasked with competing in weekly renovation challenges in three two-bedroom, two-bathroom waterfront homes. However, the properties were not identical. One house was 200 square feet larger than the others, so the teams faced off in an initial challenge to determine which property to renovate.
Plus, each team had a budget of just $90,000 to make it happen.
In the end, judges Bryan and Sarah Baeumler and a team of local real estate professionals finally determined which team added the most value to their coastal getaway and presented them with a $50,000 cash prize.
The premiere of the 3rd season of Battle on the Beach saw the remodeling of the kitchen and dining room, which set the tone for the beautification of every establishment on the coast. Then, as the season continued, Ben and Peter and their co-contestants worked on living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms and outdoor spaces, transforming them from dull to dreamy.
“I tend to stick to the time period and more of a classic design. I’m not afraid of color so I use a lot of bold colors in most of my homes, like jewel tones, blue-green-magenta, things like that,” Ben said before joining the show.

This real estate agent first started his career as a sales associate at You Guys Inc., Da Yoopers Tourist Trap in May 2005. After 4 1/2 years, he joined Edward Jones as a branch administrator before finally moving into the art industry as a Director in art and advertising at Art On Ice in 2011. That same year he also founded Blue Mohawk Studio, where he worked with latex enamel and painted wildlife, landscapes and abstracts.

When Ben is not working, he likes to play the piano, cook and entertain.
Regarding his education, Ben attended Northern Michigan University from 2007 to 2013 for his Associate of Arts and Sciences, New England College of Business in 2010 for a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance, and Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design in 2017 to studied interior design.

Ben Argall was born to his parents, Michael S. and Pam Argall.
Sadly, his father, Michael, passed away on September 8, 2012, at the age of 51, from injuries sustained in an ATV accident near Clear Lake in Champion Twp. He graduated from the New England Institute of Technology and worked for ME International Foundry in North Lake from 1987 to 1992 and at the time of his death was working for Cliffs Michigan Mining (CCI).

As for Ben’s sibling, Katelyn R Argall (born: May 1988) graduated from Ishpeming Public Schools and Northern Michigan University. She was single in Livingston, Montana, and worked in Grants Research Project Management at Montana State University.

“Gay dating is the most terrifying attempt at emotional mind-fucking. The meeting was canceled tonight so I guess the 99.9% cancellation rate still applies to me. At least I have clients, friends and family who love me,” Ben expressed his frustration on IG.
Another reason why Ben thinks he hasn’t had much success in his love life is because of his career. “When I hook up with a guy on a dating app, typically the first question I get is, ‘Why do you have to be so far away?’ I wonder what my urban tribe would become and I wonder where my career would go,” he explained.
