NASA shares unseen pic of Chandrayaan-3 lander on the Moon

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) reached out to X to share an incredible image of the Chandrayaan-3 lunar lander. They also added that the image was taken by the US space agency’s LRO spacecraft.

“NASA’s LRO spacecraft recently imaged the Chandrayaan-3 lander on the surface of the Moon. ISRO’s (Indian Space Research Organization) Chandrayaan-3 landed on August 23, 2023, about 600 kilometers from the Moon’s south pole,” NASA announced. Their post was completed with a picture of the Indian lander on the surface of the moon.

The space agency also shared an alternate description along with the image on X. “The Chandrayaan-3 lander is in the center of the image, its dark shadow visible against the bright halo surrounding the vehicle. The picture is 1738 meters wide; frame no. M1447750764LR,” they added.

The post was shared on September 5. Since it was published, it has garnered more than 1.6 million views, and the numbers are only growing. Additionally, the share received close to 3,300 likes. People posted different comments while reacting to the post.
