Stacey Osorio on N*ked And Afraid: Last One Standing
Stacey Osorio knows how to handle the wild and maybe even win a new franchise N*ked and scared called Last One Standing. She competed in N*ked And Afraid XL (2014) and survived nine days in the Croatian Pannonian basin before the show’s producers cut her role in the episode.
A man and a woman are left in a remote location to live together for 21 days without access to food, water, fire or clothing in the Discovery Channel reality TV series. Osorio was sleeping on the seventh day when a kettle of hot water fell on her, burning 10% of her body. The producers decided it was too unsafe for her to continue due to the risk of infection.
However, they invited her to come back N*ked and Afraid XL (2016), in which 12 contestants from the previous season’s episodes live together for 40 days in the South African bush. The summer season of the 10-episode television series begins on Sunday.
Stacey, who watched her performance on TV with her family, described the experience as “nervous” and “terrifying”.
In a head-to-head, multi-stage challenge, 12 A-listers N*ked and scared survivalists compete for $100,000 and the title of Last One Standing. The show premiered on May 7 on the Discovery channel.
About her latest, performance for Last One Standing, she told The Daily World, “After each of the other two shows, I always joked that I was retired whenever the producers called me to try and talk me into coming back. But it’s hard to keep turning down a new challenge.”
Due to contractual obligations, Stacey was unable to give many details about her latest project for N*ked and Afraid, in which 12 survivors battle it out for 45 days in South Africa’s Oribi Gorge for a chance to win $100,000. However, she did not hesitate to say that her most difficult expedition was her first.
Despite the seven-year gap between Stacey’s participation in “N*ked and Afraid XL” and the start of shooting “N*ked and Afraid: Last One Standing” in September 2022, Osorio likened her experiences to therapy.
“It doesn’t matter how strong you are, the first week is just shit. You try to adapt to the environment, survive from wild animals and work with the people around you. But there’s a point where it feels almost like a vision quest,” Stacey explained. “I’ve never felt more connected to the world than when I was on those shows. Your main pastime is stargazing at night and you don’t have time to worry about the stupid drama going on in the world. I could only describe it as screwing up during a rainstorm and just laying on the grass and relaxing for five or ten minutes.”

Jim served in the US Marine Corps from 1971 to 1974 during the Vietnam Era along with many other young men. He was only 17 years old when he started his first adventure in life.
Jim owned his own company, Kirchoff Communications, a cable contractor in Hesperia, California. He was the CEO of an operation with a fleet of trucks and many employees.
Stacey Osorio’s parents (James and Sally) met his wife in California. They were married for 27 years (they got married on June 25, 1988).
Jim and Sally moved to Stites, Idaho in 2007. Jim began working for the City of Stites in 2009 as a City Maintenance Supervisor. He really loved his job until the very end. He served on the Stites Volunteer Fire Department and was an EMT.
