In a video response, the Gel Army refuted Monique’s claim that her husband voluntarily participated in her filming. She discussed how it freed her family from debt. She added that even after the divorce, her husband offered her to appear in her music videos, but she refused.
In a now-deleted TikTok, Ashley’s husband gave his account of the event. In the video, he declares that he will not allow anyone to “drag his name through the mud” because they used him for their own benefit. “I don’t like social media, I don’t care about it,” he said. “But I will not allow the person who used me for his success, for our entire marriage, to smear my name,” he says.
