Bengaluru traffic: Man claims children came back from school at 9 pm

The technical corridor, Outer Ring Road (ORR) in Bengaluru witnessed heavy traffic congestion on 27 September. As several people were endlessly stuck in traffic, a man on Xu shared how his children came home from school at 9pm because of the congestion. Ever since he shared the tweet, it has gone viral.

“This is a shameful statement by the government. Instead of making excuses, maybe admit that Bangalore has no public transport, terrible drainage, poorly maintained roads and poor city planning. My kids came home from school at 9pm and these guys are blaming the citizens,” he wrote is Ritesh Banglani on the microblogging platform. Banglani also posted a picture that he claimed was an official statement from the government. According to this statement, it comes from the Office of the Joint Commissioner and offers reasons for the suspension of traffic.
