Follower loyalty is incredibly important in The Cult of the Lamb. You’ll be introduced to the concept early on in your journey, but there are a lot of moving parts that won’t come to light until later in the game.

Follower Loyalty is an individual stat that determines how much loyalty a cultist has generated while worshiping at a shrine or attending a sermon. Build enough loyalty with a follower and they’ll level up — giving you a Commandment Stone. In other words, you’ll want to invest a lot of time in increasing the loyalty of each follower in your cult. The more loyal they are, the faster you’ll level up.

Perform the blessing
Blessings are an easy way to raise loyalty quickly. They can only be performed once per day per follower, and you will need to interact with each follower individually to perform the Blessing. This can be time consuming once you have a large cult following, but it always remains a viable way to increase your loyalty. Also note that this can be upgraded to Inspire later in the game for even greater effect.
Give them gifts

Who doesn’t love gifts? Your cultists might come up with some wicked things, but they still love a good gift. This can be found during crusades, and giving one to a cultist will dramatically increase their loyalty.
Do the daily sermon
If you are not already giving daily sermons, be sure to incorporate them into your routine immediately. Not only are these a great way to level up your own skills, but they generate tons of loyalty for your followers.
Give a bribe

One of the doctrines in the possession category will allow you to bribe your followers. This can be done once per day for each follower (and each use costs a few coins), but it’s another easy way to quickly improve their loyalty.
Complete missions
Followers will often give you tasks while you are in camp. They may seem funny, but never reject them because they are a great source of loyalty.
Cook great food

Most food doesn’t do much except fill your cult’s belly. But some premium dishes, like the Splendid Vegetable Feast, have a chance to increase loyalty after consumption. Because of this, you might want to invest in a substantial farm—one serving of meal requires tons of beets, pumpkins, and cauliflower.
