RORY McILROY started in the parking lot as the Ryder Cup descended into all-out war.
Fuming McIlroy had to be wheeled into a vehicle by teammate Shane Lowry after his Team USA top blew after a dramatic loss on the last hole.

Europe enters the final day in Rome needing just four wins from 12 individual matches to reclaim the trophy.
An enraged McIlroy confronted Patrick Cantlay’s caddy Joe LaCava for distracting him as he holed a par putt in his four-ball match on the 18th green.
And the Northern Irishman was still seething as he headed to the team hotel with Jim ‘Bones’ Mackay, Justin Thomas’ delivery man, caught in the crossfire.
McIlroy shouted: “It’s a shame, he can’t get away with it.”
LaCava waved his cap at the home fans who mocked Cantlay for not wearing his.
Europe captain Luke Donald said: “I was there on the 18th and saw it unfold.
“When Patrick made that shot, Joe was waving his hat.
“Throughout the day, the audience could hear waving hats for our players.

“I spoke to Rory. He politely asked Joe to step aside. He was in his line of sight.
“He stood there and didn’t move for a while and kept waving his hat around, so I think Rory was upset about that.
“The Ryder Cup is always passionate. We have seen this many times.
“Tomorrow I will address all 12 of my guys. I will give them the right message and they will be ready to play.”
Cantlay was mocked by European fans during his reports of refusing to wear one because he wasn’t being paid.
Players are not compensated for competing in golf’s biggest team competition.
McIlroy and partner Matt Fitzpatrick lost a one-hole lead on the 17th.
The flashpoint came after Cantlay holed a 43-footer at the 18th – with misses from McIlroy and Fitzpatrick giving the US a point.
Europe still has a five-point lead and Donald plans to ensure McIlroy is in the right frame of mind for today’s singles.
He said: “I’ll talk to Rory when I get back.
“As I said in the opening speech, we always try to play with passion, play with energy, but play with respect. That will certainly be my message to the players.
“We all want to win, but we want to do it the right way.
“Obviously Rory felt the line was crossed on the 18th green.”
Teammates Lowry and Justin Rose came to McIlroy’s aid in a clash on the 18th.
Donald added: “Of course they have their backs. We are a big family this week. We support each other.”
America’s captain Zach Johnson saw an afternoon’s fight that gave his team hope and believes the parking issue has been resolved.

He said: “As far as I know, it has been deactivated. I spoke to Joe afterwards and he said he had sorted it out with Rory and everything was fine.
“You see the passion and the complete emotion in the Ryder Cup. I don’t think it’s anything more than that.
“What I saw on 18 was a phenomenal shot and celebration by some of our guys.
“I saw the passion and all that is great about the Ryder Cup come out.”
Johnson also said LaCava was not involved in the scuffle in the parking lot.
Fresh off his first loss at this year’s Ryder Cup, McIlroy insists he won’t get discouraged but can’t resist attacking the Yanks.
He said: “Matt and I played well.
“Obviously they had a great finish and Patrick made three great shots at the end to seal the deal, so hats off to them.
“They played a great game. A few scenes there at 18 are just fuel for the fire tomorrow.”
