As for the media thread that mentioned my name this week, I just want to let you know that I’m not going to discuss or comment on it any further at this time. There are a lot of layers to it and I feel that for me at this point the best the thing was to move forward and concentrate on moving forward. So if I decide in the future to say anything or comment in any way, you guys will be the first to know. However, for now I just want to say thank you for all the kind messages, opinions and DMs- these.”
While Randolph “can’t respond” to every message, she noted, “I want you to know that I read them and I’m so grateful and I feel really loved and encouraged. I appreciate you so much.”
The former reality star, who split from Underwood, 29, in May 2020, previously took to Instagram to ask fans to take her into consideration following the former NFL player’s big statement.
“Thank you everyone for the kind comments and messages. It means a lot to me,” she wrote with a link to her YouTube channel on April 16 via Instagram Stories. “And yes, some of you have been asking about my YouTube for this week. I decided to take the week off, but I’ll be back next week!!”
“This year has been difficult for a lot of people and it’s probably made a lot of people look back on the year and realize who they are,” he told Robin Roberts at the time. “I’ve been rushing myself for a long time, I’ve hated myself for a long, long time. I’m gay. I came to terms with that earlier this season, and the next step in all of that was letting people know … I’m the happiest and healthiest I’ve ever been been in my life. That means everything in the world to me.”
During the sit-down, the Native American native confessed his feelings to the Huntington Beach, California native, who has found it difficult to be honest about his sexual identity.
“I loved everything about her and it’s hard for me to articulate what my emotions were when I was going through that relationship with her because I obviously had an internal struggle,” Underwood explained. “I’d just like to say I’m sorry from the bottom of my heart. I’m sorry for all the pain and emotional distress I’ve caused. I wish it hadn’t happened the way it did. I wish I’d been brave enough to fix myself before I broke someone else .”
