The ideal way to celebrate! Kate Hudson just provided a exceptional way to enjoy Valentine's Day this year — and it's inspired by How to eliminate a Guy in 10 Days.

“Now we know why Love Fern has expired,” she wrote via Instagram alongside photos of herself using the product.

According to the UrbanStems site, the recently installed set is a blue bell fern plant that comes inside a pink porcelain pot. Accompanying the beautiful greenery is a very clear glass mister made from King St. Vodka. “The gift is a nod to the plant featured in the celebrity’s cult romantic comedy,” reads the item description, referencing her cult film How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days with Matthew McConaughey.

In the 2003 film, the love fern was a product that Hudson’s character, Andie, bought for Ben (McConaughey). When Ben was at a men’s night with his friends, Andie revealed that he had let the plant “expire” and wondered if he would do the same to their relationship.

Hudson’s company considers the movie-inspired item the “perfect” gift for both Galentine’s and Valentine’s Day.

The Something Borrowed celebrity has launched her label King St. Vodka in November 2019 “I’ve always found the spirits industry intriguing and I love Dirty Vodka Martinis. My creative side thought it would be a fun challenge to come up with a vodka for my mind, and in beautiful packaging that I’d love to have in my pub and shared with friends,” she said in a press release. “The business person in me is currently anticipating the challenge of building a new in a brand new business”

In addition to her fresh Love Fern, Hudson will have boyfriend Danny Fujikawa to keep her company on the romantic vacation.

“I have the best boyfriend,” she advised Women’s Health in its December 2019 issue. “This is the first time I feel like I’ve got a real teammate in this. We’re in a position to pick up where the other one has to stop.”

The businesswoman also shares son Ryder, 17, with Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson and son Bingham, nine, with Muse rocker Matt Bellamy. Earlier this month, she opened up about her experience raising three children with “multiple” fathers.

“The only expectations I really have are high [in] my life is with my kids and household stuff,” she said on Sunday Today With Willie Geist on Jan. 24. “Other than that, I just let it go. … I work my ass off and then I go and hope for the best.”
