Nitin Gadkari takes a ride on hydrogen-powered bus in Prague, netizens react

Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari took a test drive of Škoda’s hydrogen-powered bus in Prague. Nitin Gadkari’s office took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share some pictures and a video of his ride. As expected, netizens flocked to the comments section to share their thoughts. While one individual demanded that all school and state buses run on hydrogen in the coming years, another inquired about the mass production of hydrogen cars.

“Union Minister Shri @nitin_gadkari Ji took a test drive in a Skoda hydrogen bus in Prague, Czech Republic today, demonstrating India’s commitment to exploring sustainable and eco-friendly mobility solutions,” read the caption written alongside the images shared on X by Nitin Gadkari’s office. The pictures show Gadkari posing with the bus and interacting with the officials present.

The account even shared a video of the minister riding in the Hydrogen bus. “Hydrogen buses hold significant promise in reducing carbon emissions and addressing environmental issues, contributing to a cleaner and greener future.”

In the video, the minister is sitting in the bus while officials surround him as he stands. One of the officials is heard asking about the distance the bus can travel on a single charge.

Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari is on an official trip to the Czech Republic. He participated in the Ministerial session on road traffic safety at the 27th World Road Congress in Prague. In addition, it intends to collaborate with international organizations, industry, academia and other stakeholders on road transport and related issues.
