An athlete from China broke the world record for the ‘fastest 100-meter slackline walk’. Shi Hailin accomplished this feat by walking on a slackline suspended 100 meters above the ground between two hills in just 1 minute and 14.198 seconds. This surpassed the previous record of 1 minute and 59.73 seconds held by Lucas Milliard from France in 2016.

The world record was set at 1,600 m above sea level at Guanyindang Camp on Wugong Mountain, Pingxiang. Although Hailin walked more than 222m in total, he was measured exactly within the marked area of 100m, the Guinness Book of World Records (GWR) reported.
“Fastest 100m slackline walk: 1 min 14.198 s, Shi Hailin,” reads the description of the video shared by Guinness World Records on Instagram.
The video shows Hailin carefully walking the slackline while drones record his feat in foggy weather. A red cloth is attached to both ends to mark the 100m mark. The video also shows Hailin celebrating after successfully walking 100m on the slackline.

The video was shared a day ago on X. Since then it has garnered more than 7.1 lakh views and the numbers are still growing. Many even took to the comments section of the video to share their thoughts.
