The Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Paris Republic also announces that the Parquet de Paris has opened an investigation after these two explosions. “Under its jurisdiction in relation to acts committed abroad, the Parquet de Paris Pillar Accident Collective is conducting an in-depth analysis of the date of inspection of the heads of unintentional injuries,” said the public prosecutor. “Investigations are entrusted to the Main Administration of the National Gendarmerie,” he says.

Up to 300,000 people without a home

“The situation is apocalyptic, Beirut has never known it in its history,” Beirut Governor Marwan Abboud joked. Up to 300,000 people are homeless, he said.
