The best Bullfrog loadouts in Call of Duty: Warzone

Since the Bullfrog SMG was launched along with the Cold war integration into War zone, was at the top of its class, competing with the best options in the game. It was never the absolute best in terms of stats, but it excelled as an all-around pick due in part to its large magazine size, low mobility, and pure iron sights. Now that Bullfrog has been around for a while and has settled into the meta, it’s clear how and when to use it. But what attachments work best with it?

Here we dive into the best Bullfrog refills in the Call of Duty: Warzone from season 3 of Reloaded.

Bullfrog review

While most SMGs excel at close range (within 10 meters or so), the Bullfrog is actually best used at medium range (between 15 and 20 meters), according to TrueGameData. Thanks to its large ammo tank and easy-to-control recoil, you’ll find it most effective from afar, especially after you get past the first or second damage of other weapons. For example, the Owen Gun, currently considered the best melee SMG in the game, does significantly less damage at around 21 meters, allowing the Bullfrog to pick it up and outperform it in terms of time to kill (TTK). With this in mind, the Bullfrog actually works well as a support sniper weapon, giving you the ability to cover your bases up close and at mid-range. Another great thing about the Bullfrog is that its default magazine size is 50, which means you can save a precious attachment slot instead of adding a larger magazine size.

Recommended filling:

Muzzle Silencer
Laser Team Tiger in the spotlight
Stock KGB Skeletal Stock
Magazine Fast mag
Rear handle GRU elastic film

Before we move on to crafting a mid-ranger, let’s first touch on the best close-range charge, which excels in mobility and fast aiming time (ADS). Normally you’d want to equip the last muzzle when crafting most weapons, but in this case you should switch to the standard Sound Suppressor, which will keep you off the minimap when firing, while also improving ADS speed, bullet speed, and sprint to fire rate. The GRU muffler actually hurts your ADS speeds a lot, so we recommend sticking with the standard sound muffler to ensure your melee battles go as smoothly as possible.

From there, jump over the barrel and equip the Tiger Team Spotlight Laser, giving you extra movement speed and walking speed. This will again serve you well up close. You don’t need an optic with this build, but we recommend using the KGB Skeletal Stock for improved ADS launch speed, walking speed on sight, and faster sprint-to-fire time.

Next, we advise using the Fast Mag type, which allows you to reload faster. There aren’t any other downsides, and since it’s common to get caught while reloading, there’s no reason not to use this add-on, especially since the rest of the build has pretty much everything you need to excel up close.

Finally, we recommend the GRU Elastic Wrap Rear Grip for improved ADS times, better recoil resistance and aiming stability, all of which will help you work better up close. Note that this comes with some drawbacks, particularly with sprint-to-fire speed, so if you struggle with that, we recommend switching to the Bruiser Grip Underbarrel instead. We like the GRU Elastic Wrap for its excellent ADS time, but your performance may vary.

Benefits

Convenience 1 Quick fix
Convenience 2 tempered
Convenience 3 Battle hardened

When it comes to perks, it’s hard to skip using Quick Fix, which instantly triggers health regeneration as soon as you insert an armor plate or secure an elimination. This allows you to fight multiple enemies at once, and combined with Tempered, you’ll be able to quickly restore shields and health, giving you the ability to challenge enemies again safely. Jump behind cover, get your shield back, and you’ll have more health than your enemy expects. Finally, it is best to use Battle Hardened, which reduces the power of enemy equipment and completely negates the effects of Snapshot grenades. The recent Reloaded Season 3 update pissed off stims, so many players will probably start using Restock and Snapshot grenades, and you’ll want to prepare for that.

Equipment

Lethal Throwing knife
Tactical Snapshot grenade

In many cases, the Throwing Knife is an ideal piece of lethal gear for everyone, as it allows you to quickly eliminate a downed player without wasting ammo. Now that Rebirth Island has a total of 300 HP instead of 250, throwing knives are far more important because ammo is precious. Lastly, equip Snapshot Grenades to highlight any nearby enemies. If you find too many players using Battle Hardened to counter Snapshots, use Stuns or Flash.

Medium range sniper support

Recommended filling:

Muzzle GRU suppressor
Barrel 7.4 inch working group
Laser Team Tiger in the spotlight
Optical Microflex LED
Under the pipe Spetsnaz Grip

While the Bullfrog build looks decent up close, the best way to use this weapon is at mid-range, with an emphasis on recoil control, bullet speed, and accuracy. For this we advise starting with the GRU Suppressor Muzzle, which removes you from the minimap when firing, while increasing your recoil control. This will reduce your ADS time, but at medium range it won’t matter that much.

Follow it up with a 7.4-inch Task Force barrel for improved damage range, bullet speed, and arrow speed. You can also use the Liberator Barrel, but it hurts your mobility quite a bit, so it’s best to stick with Task Force. Speaking of mobility, be sure to use the Tiger Team Spotlight Laser from the previous version, which gives you better movement speed and target walking speed. This will balance out some of the weight of the other side dishes.

To increase the likelihood of hitting your shots at mid-range, we highly recommend using a clean, low-zoom optic — so as not to penalize your ADS timing — such as the Microflex LED. If you feel this is unnecessary, feel free to replace it with a rear grip or an extended magazine. Finish off the build with the Spetsnaz Grip Underbarrel, which boosts your horizontal and vertical recoil control.

Benefits

Convenience 1 In cold blood
Convenience 2 Restock
Convenience 3 Battle hardened

Start by going Cold-Blooded with this build, making you invisible with thermal optics while countering High Alert and Combat Scout. We also recommend applying the tactic we described above, using Restock as your second perk to continually replenish gear. Lastly, keep using Battle Hardened to negate the effects of Snapshot grenades.

Equipment

Lethal Semtex
Tactical Snapshot grenade

Semtex grenades received a noticeable improvement during Season 3 Reloaded, so now is a good time to fire them up. Thanks to Restock, you’ll basically have unlimited supplies, so keep that in mind when playing. Lastly, we advise you to stick with Snapshot grenades to be constantly aware of your enemy’s position.
