Emaza Dilan, an aspiring singer, and Jason Derulo will see the established singer in court. She has reportedly filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Jason, alleging that the R&B singer signed her to a record deal with the intention of having sex with her. PageSix reported this.
“I have anxiety; I am traumatized,” said Emaza NBC news. “I faced inhumane working situations. … I’m at this point where I’m back to zero and I have nothing.”
In the lawsuit he acquired Page six, the musician — who describes herself as a “humanitarian” and “activist” on Instagram — suggests that Derulo made unwanted sexual advances toward her after they began working together professionally. The “Talk Dirty” singer reportedly urged her to make a mixtape in four months and an album in six after they first met in August 2021. The singer claims in the lawsuit that, while she was dating Derula, he often invited her for a drink, but she refused his invitations in order to “keep their relationship professional”. Gibson reports that after turning down invitations to events where alcohol would be served, the “Swalla” singer began bringing alcohol to their sets. The singer claims that during the recording in September 2021, she allegedly received “inappropriately large amounts of alcohol” and that she felt “pressure” to consume it.
Additionally, she claims that cocaine and other drugs were occasionally available and that Jason Derulo allegedly asked her to participate in “goat skins and fish scales,” which she took to be a sexual ritual. According to Gibson’s lawsuit, “Watcha Say?” the singer was in “explicit demand for sex in exchange for success”. He also claims that Derulo has behaved aggressively in the past, citing an incident that occurred in November 2021 as an example.
Emaza claims in the lawsuit that at the time she was familiar with Rosa, who she saw as an example of how her career could advance if she slept with Jason Derulo. When Gibson informed her manager Frank Harris about Rosa’s appearance, the “Savage Love” singer allegedly “lost control and began violently hitting him on the armrests,” according to court documents. Derulo reportedly lost his cool once again in June 2022 after Dylan was late for a shoot at his residence in Malibu, California.
“I had to move away… I just grabbed my breast with my hand, because I, like, I didn’t, I’ve never had anyone approach me like this,” the “Wiggle” singer allegedly “shot” at the singer when she arrived, the singer told NBC News.
Emaze Dilan’s performance contract was reportedly terminated following the incident on September 6, 2022.
“I’m just trying to fight for what’s right because what was done to me was not OK. And I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through what I went through. They wasted my time. They promised me things. … ‘Forget the contract.’ That’s what I was told. But if I didn’t want to, if I didn’t do my part under this contract, I would be in trouble. I would be responsible,” said Emaza.
Emaza, who is suing for breach of contract, wrongful retaliatory termination and intimidation, told NBC News.
Jason has yet to respond to any of the allegations.
