“This good boy stole a soccer ball during a Mexican second division game and caused complete chaos on the field,” reads the description of the video shared on Instagram.
The video shows the dog holding the ball in its mouth as it runs around the field. Despite all the security guards’ efforts to catch the playful dog, they failed. However, one of the players managed to catch the pass in the end, to the delight of the cheering crowd who enjoyed the unexpected break.

After the game, Alebrijes Oaxaca posted a picture of the dog on X and shared that they adopted him. “Our new best friend is well and with us at #TemploAlebrije after making his debut in @LigaMXExpansion,” reads the caption alongside the picture, translated from Spanish to English.
A day later, they shared another update about the dog. “Our new reinforcement has undergone medical tests which will be officially submitted in the coming days,” reads the headline, translated into English, written alongside two pictures of the dog.
Since being shared, the posts have garnered numerous views and likes. In addition, it has garnered a ton of comments from netizens.
