Horse who was about to sink in a bog, rescued

In Colorado, locals and firefighters worked together to save a horse that was stuck in a swamp and threatened to drown. Front Range Fire Rescue posted about the incident on Facebook. The department said after personnel arrived at the rural Weld County property and assessed the horse’s condition, they requested assistance from the Loveland Fire Rescue Authority’s Large Animal Rescue Team.

“At approximately 6:37 p.m. last night, Front Range Fire Rescue (FRFR) responded to rescue a draft horse trapped in a swamp. First arriving firefighters requested assistance from the Loveland Fire Rescue Authority Large Animal Rescue Team. Crews worked together 3 1/2 hour to extricate the horse. Neighbors in the area also assisted your first responders with the operation. The horse was immediately treated by a CSU veterinarian,” Front Range Fire Rescue wrote in a Facebook post. They also shared pictures of the unfortunate horse stuck in the swamp and the people trying to save it.
