How did Gama Pehlwan die?
After the partition of India, wrestler Gama moved to Lahore, Pakistan. After that, he struggled to make a living/make money. He was neglected and had a brother named Iman Baksh. Gama had two marriages. His wife’s name was Wazeer Begum. Gulam Mohammad had nine children with her, five sons and four daughters. They all died at a young age. Game Pehelwan’s height and weight was 5 feet 7 inches and 110 kg. The measurements of his chest were 46”, waist 34” and biceps 22”.
Gama developed asthma and heart disease after retiring from wrestling. In the last moments of his life, Gama faced numerous financial restrictions. His financial situation deteriorated to the point where he had to sell his medals. Gama died on May 23, 1960 at the age of 82. Gama struggled to pay for his treatment in his final days. Gama Pehalwan, an Indian wrestler, was born in the family of Muhammad Aziz Baksh. Imam Baksh Pehelwan, brother of the Muslim wrestler, was also present.
Gama married twice in his life, once to Wazir Begum and once to another woman. He had five sons and four daughters, all of whom died young.
