After a cat was discovered trapped at the foot of a cell phone tower in San Antonio, US, animal welfare officers immediately rushed to rescue it.

San Antonio Animal Services took to Facebook to describe the incident. In the post they shared, a cat named Mark was rescued by a dedicated animal care worker, Cortez, and a person named M.
“The incident unfolded when Mr. M saw Mark trapped within the confines of the tower. His discovery was made all the more disturbing by the presence of animal remains beside him. Fearing for Mark’s safety, Mr. M immediately dialed 3-1-1, requesting immediate assistance . Responding quickly, Animal Care Officer Cortez arrived on scene and together they embarked on a challenging mission to ensure Mark’s safety and recovery,” the Facebook page wrote.
They further added: “With the utmost care, they were able to secure the distressed cat and transport it in a secure carrier to the Emergency Animal Service. Given the uncertain circumstances and Mark’s prolonged stay in captivity, a medical evaluation was necessary. Fortunately, Mark appeared to be in good health. His physical resilience was the silver lining in an otherwise confusing situation. Mark was then transferred to ACS, where he received attention and support to ensure he was okay. The ACS veterinary team diligently monitored Mark, physically and emotionally, during this critical period.”
