ICC World Cup Australia vs South Africa: ODI World Cup 2023 got off to a flying start after New Zealand avenged their 2019 final defeat against England in the inaugural match. Since then numerous records have been broken and almost impossible feats achieved in cricket. Last night’s game was no different.
Australia and South Africa clashed in Match 10 of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. Both teams have a famous rivalry and were looking to get 2 points to move further up the points table.
Australia especially needed a win after losing their first game against hosts India by 6 wickets. However, South Africa played with serious intentions. After winning the toss, Australia elected to bowl first and the South African batsmen posted a mammoth score of 311/7 on the board in 50 overs on a tough pitch.
Quinton de Kock was the highlight for the South African team, scoring 100, his second in a row in the current World Cup.
