A TikTok video recently went viral, showing a slightly confusing first date, where a woman refuses to get out of the car after her date takes her to a cheesecake factory.

The video, originally shared by TikTok creator Monique Santos, has garnered more than 912,000 views, prompting an intense outpouring of comments.
In the video, the woman films herself, dressed up and wearing sunglasses, while her partner gets out of the car to open the door. However, her reaction takes an unexpected turn when she realizes that the destination is none other than The Cheesecake Factory, a popular restaurant chain.
The woman, seemingly unimpressed, mutters, “He caught me at The Cheesecake Factory, y’all. I’m not getting out of this car.”
This refusal to exit the vehicle and her locking the door caused a bit of a struggle as the man tried to gain access again. The woman, visibly upset, finally rolled down the window and confronted her companion about their choice of seat. She goes on to express her disdain for the chain restaurant as a place for a first date and questions why he would take someone who looks like her to such a place.
“Look at me. I can’t go to the Cheesecake Factory,” she says.
The debate escalates when the man in the video asks her if she expects to “bare everything on the first date.” A woman believes that her looks require special treatment, insisting that if a man is courting a woman, she should be valued and treated well.
“So you just want to end the night?” she asked.
“I mean, isn’t there some sort of compromise or something?”
“Ladies, can you believe it?” she asks the camera as the man fastens his seat belt and starts driving
At first, the man planned to take her to a nicer restaurant, but changed his mind because of her delay in getting ready.
“So, with all due respect, I’ll just take you home,” he says.
“I mean, you’re serious. You’re really leaving,” she says as the man continues to drive.
“I mean, I understand I’m late; I understand that it is. I understand that I could have been a little more cooperative. You make some good points; that’s why I’m ready to compromise. Are you sure you want to go home?” she expresses to him.
The man acknowledges her concern, but also expresses his reluctance to invest in a fancy restaurant, especially if he’s footing the bill. Their discussion continues as the woman struggles with the idea of dining at The Cheesecake Factory.
Eventually, the man decides that their different expectations of dating make them incompatible. He respectfully offers to drive her home, and the woman, discouraged but understanding, accepts.
The video ends with her acknowledging his position and coming to terms with the decision.

Some commentators have suggested that the woman may have taken the influencer’s “sprinkle sprinkle” relationship advice, and it doesn’t seem to have worked out as she’d hoped. Others praised the man for his communication and self-respect, with one person wondering: “What’s wrong with the Cheese Factory?”
Another said: “He is right to do that. He communicated properly, was respectful and knew his worth. I also love Cheesecake Factory.. lol.”
Some commentators felt that the woman’s clothing and appearance were inconsistent with her choice of restaurant.
