Ella Morgan Clark is making history as the first trans contestant on Married At First Sight (MAFS) UK. She is a blonde bombshell with a sense of humor and a heart of gold. She also makes MAFS UK history as the first transgender contestant in the show.
“This experiment is much more than my marriage,” Ella explained in her biography. “I see this as a big deal for someone who has transitioned.”
Ella already has a significant relationship as she lives with her Nana. She described them as “the dynamic duo that everyone needs in their life” as she explains their close relationship.
Ella entrusted her faith to Mel, Paul and Charlene to find her perfect match. Ella and Nathanial were matched by experts, and while their wedding day was perfect, their honeymoon proved that their love was destined to be anything but simple. Since the beginning of the series, Nathanial and Ella have commented on each episode. The groom even suggested that Married At First Sight was “scripted,” to which the network has since responded.
During the first dinner, Ella revealed herself to her colleagues in a moving speech. Ella explained: “When I was born, I looked very different than I do today. My mom gave birth to four boys, three brothers, and then me. My mom asked me when I was younger if I was gay, and I said, ‘No mom, I’m a woman.’ She said, ‘You want to be a girl?’ I said no. I’m a girl.”
She added: “I never questioned who I was. I always knew I was Ella inside. We all have struggles in life. Most people never have to question their identity or gender. I don’t expect you to understand or understand me. All I ask is that you respect me and treat me as the person I am. I’m not ashamed to stand here as an openly transgender woman, where there is so much negative stigma about trans people.”
Ella explained: “Now that my outside – and it’s a very sexy outside – matches my inside, I stand before all of you as an openly trans woman, but more importantly, I stand here as Ella and all I want to be is finally they see and treat me as the girl that I am.”
Before appearing on the show, Nathanial knew that Ella was a transgender woman. Ella says she took part because in the past she felt fetishized “or a dirty secret, and I know I’m much more than that.”
“No one has ever fully accepted me,” she tells BBC Newsbeat. “I thought it would be easier after the operation. Unfortunately, it wasn’t any easier. There is still that stigma and embarrassment of dating someone who has transitioned.”
Rumors swirled that Ella’s fiance was unaware she was trans when they first met at the altar when it was revealed she would be on the show.
“As it was the first time Channel 4 had done something like this, I agreed with them that once they found me a match, my husband would be aware that I was trans before the wedding,” explained Ella. “He was aware that I was trans and that I had changed, but he didn’t know anything else about me.”
Unfortunately, Ella recently revealed that she had to stop using social media due to the transphobic remarks she was subjected to as a result of appearing on the show.
looking at her Instagram Stories, Morgan said: “I know I’ve been a little absent today. I just had a bit of a hard time and I’ll be honest with you, so I took a step back. But I just want to say thank you because all your messages have helped me through everything.”
She added: “I don’t always read comments anymore because of the transphobia. I can handle it, I’m resistant to it. I’ve heard it enough times. But it’s not fair to my family who didn’t ask for all this but still want to support me.”

All the drama that ensued after Ella Morgan and Nathanial Valention met says they are no longer together. However, they remained tight-lipped to confirm their relationship status.
After Ella and Nathanial clicked instantly, everything went wrong on their honeymoon. Nathanial said he knew he was set up with a transgender woman on the show and he didn’t like it.
Since there was little physical contact between them, Ella claimed that she felt uneasy and worried that Nathaniel was not attracted to her. On the E4 show, Nathaniel claimed Ella was faking it for the cameras, prompting an exchange of insults. The groom has since spoken out, claiming that the producers set him up and that he was forced to leave the show due to his deteriorating mental state.
Nathaniel said Mirror: “My only deal breakers were that she didn’t smoke and that she didn’t work in the sex industry.”
Ella reportedly smokes and, after they were married, told Nathanial that she worked as a stripper.
Nathanial continued: “There are couples with a beautiful relationship. But with Ella, the series created a monster. I didn’t know who I was marrying. Some of the social assistance was simply not there. What happened to me cannot happen to another person. This show needs to have ‘For Entertainment’ all over it.”
Nathaniel also claimed that “The Story”, the production company, was at fault. He told the publication, “That was the kind of manipulation that was going on.”
In a statement addressing the allegations, Channel 4 said: “Nathanial voluntarily entered into this process with full and informed consent and was given more information than we would normally share, to be aware that his bride is trans”.
Channel 4 concluded: “The matching process involves a detailed examination of the participants’ preferences and none of these would be overlooked when deciding who to pair them with. The welfare of all contributors is our top priority and we ensure that support is available before, during and after filming – including 24/7 access to social or psychological support. The series is an unscripted reality series that follows real events as they naturally unfold and is not scripted in any way.”
