Sabiyah Broderick grew up watching Survived from about age five or six, even when they didn’t have fancy cable and stuff. Sabiyah Broderick decided to retreat all the way to Fiji in hopes of walking away a million dollars richer. But more than fame and fortune, it was her love for the track that drove her to become a part Survivors 45. While in college at Augusta State, she was a track and field runner by trade.
Looking back on all the years and seasons Survived In history, Sabiyah said she looks up to Circie, who despite not being a winner managed to attract people with her element and older sister/mother quality, and Tony, who also managed to win the competition. These are some of the Survived alumni Sabiyah identifies with.
Speaking to parade.com, Sabiyah also shared that her life experience at Marine Corps boot camp prepared her the most for the game.
During the said interview, Sabiyah was also asked “What do you look for in an alliance partner?”, to which she began to respond by saying “I know this is going to be a bit weird, but I’ll explain it after I say it”. She then pointed out that initially she will be looking for people who are natural followers. People who wouldn’t get up to put their plates away until they saw someone else do it were also the ones she hoped to find.
To put it more simply, Sabiyah also said that she will be the “Sole Survivor” only because she has unknowingly prepared for this show all her life. She said she was destined to be one.
Sabiyah Broderick Job
Sabiyah Broderick was a sergeant/aviation logistics specialist in the United States Marine Corps as of May 14, 2017. As of 2023, Sabiyah also worked as a truck driver. She recently explained to parade.com how she ended up driving a truck. She explained that she had a friend who worked with her on the night shift, Corporal Wolf, and it was from him that she learned about the “troops to transport” course. So after he left the military, she found the trucking industry booming and thought it would be something to do on the civilian side.
On her LinkedIn, Sabiyah also describes herself as a dedicated and experienced logistician with years of experience in supply chain management.
Having come this far in life, Sabiyah said she is most proud of serving her country and helping her dad on vacation in Africa.
Between October 2020 and May 2022, she studied Bachelor of Business Administration – BBA, Business Administration, Management and Operations at Park University. Even before that, he studied at Locust Grove High School (August 2009 – May 2013).
