Several unions and collective hospitalists were called on Tuesday for a new national day of action on June 30, aimed at securing more funding for the hospital and carers as “Ségur health” comes to an end. This day of action was supported on Tuesday evening by the main public hospital service unions (FO, SUD, Unsa and CGT), and a collective of carers, including Inter-Hospital and Inter-Emergency, reported several of these organisations.
It will take place two weeks after the “day of action” on June 16, which gathered several tens of thousands of protesters across France (180,000 according to Inter-hospitals), of which 18,000 people on the Esplanade des Invalides in Paris, the police prefecture announced.

CGT and SUD are already planning another day of protest on July 14, but that proposal does not have unanimous union support. The government planned to honor the guardians on this day of national celebration, where the traditional military parade will be replaced by a ceremony at the Place de la Concorde.
The unions are calling for a “salary revaluation” of at least 300 euros net per month for hospital staff, but also for a “employment plan”, “training plan” and “a verdict on all closures of institutions, services and beds.”
A new salary meeting is expected
On Friday, the draft memorandum of agreement was submitted to the unions, which foresees a “basis for revaluation from July 1”, through an “improvement index” for all public hospital employees – outside doctors, who are the subject of the negotiation parallel. But the executive power did not put the budget on the table, to the chagrin of the unions mobilized under “Segur of Health”, which for several weeks demanded an evaluation of the compensatory measures promised by the government.
A new meeting dedicated to careers and rewards is scheduled for Wednesday at the Ministry of Health. This meeting should be held in the presence of the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, according to several unions, who hope to get clarification on the budget.
