Video of Hyderabad couple kissing on top of a moving car sparks mixed reactions

A video of a couple using a PDA while riding a motorcycle on NH-9 went viral on the Internet on October 10. The Uttar Pradesh police immediately reacted by imposing a substantial fine of ₹8,000 on the couple, citing violation of the Motor Vehicles Act. Now another video of a couple using a PDA has surfaced online. The video was shot on the PV Narasimha Rao Expressway in Hyderabad. The couple can be seen hugging and kissing while sitting on the roof of the car. While many tagged the Hyderabad police for taking strict action against the couple, others argued that ‘there is no harm in it but it can be avoided’.

“I hope @hydcitypolice will take action on this unsafe driving and the inconvenience caused to the public. #PVNRExpressway,” wrote X user Dharani while sharing the video on the microblogging platform.

The video shows a couple sitting on the roof of a car. You can see them kissing and hugging. The video was taken by someone sitting in a car that was behind them.

Here’s how people reacted to this video:

“@hydcitypolice Please look into this and take necessary action for public safety,” one person posted.

A sixth joined in, “This is becoming common these days.”

“But I wanted to know what inconvenience was caused by this?” asked the seventh.
