On Wednesday, the anti-corruption association Anticor submitted a report to the public prosecutor’s office, the subject of the StopCovid application for tracking people infected with the coronavirus, reports The Obs website.

The association indicates the price of the application. The weekly announced that already on June 2, the day of StopCovid’s online release, maintenance and hosting of the application is being charged between 200,000 and 300,000 euros per month. “The price is much higher than market practice,” according to Anticor.

The association questions the possible disruption of public order and peace, because “for every project larger than 139,000 euros, the Government must resort to tendering, which was not the case for StopCovid”, writes Obs. The president of Anticor, Elise Van Beneden, speaks of the week-long wait for the opening of the investigation by the prosecutor of the Republic: “If he doesn’t do it, we will learn to complain,” she says.
