In the 18th match of the ODI World Cup 2023, Australia and Pakistan faced each other at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Australia’s David Warner blasted Pakistan’s bowlers after smashing his 21st ODI and his 4th consecutive century against Pakistan. The prodigious Australian cricketer has added another record to his list of outstanding achievements. In the Test match against South Africa at the Melbourne Cricket Stadium, Warner became the 10th man in Test history to score a century in his 100th Test, and the second cricketer to score a double.
Warner joined an elite club of players, after scoring his 25th Test century and 3rd double century off 254 balls in Test cricket. He became only the second Australian to score a century in his 100th Test match, after Ricky Ponting, who achieved the milestone in 2006.
Warner is also the second player, after Gordon Greenidge, to score 100 runs in his 100th ODI and 100th Test.
Let’s take a look at the records and achievements of the Australian cricketer.
