According to the allegations, the doctor would have prescribed chloroquine for one of his therapeutic trials without formally seeking the patients’ consent.

At the request of prosecutors in Marseille, the National Medicines Agency conducted its own investigation, concluding that “the arrangements for informing patients and the traceability of prescription motivations do not comply with legal requirements”.
