The Library restaurant, located in New Hampshire, USA, took to Facebook to share the video and explain the incident. The restaurant added that the activation of the alarm also caused a reaction from the local police.

“Our building – Rockingham – is well known for its ghosts, especially those in the basement of the library. Last night, for the first time, our motion detector alarms INSIDE the building went off with this camera movement captured on video in the dead of night outside the window. The motion detectors inside cannot see what the camera outside sees!” wrote the Library restaurant.

“It’s not the lights from the car – because you can see how others are picked up and there is no horizontal wind. So what can this be! Make of that what you will, but this has never happened before! Creepy coincidence for the time of year? Ps our police rock, showing up to check everything in double quick 1:18,” the facility added.

The video opens to show the street in front of the restaurant at night. It captures something like smoke passing in front of the camera.

How did Facebook users react to this video?

“So that whiff (of smoke?) was not only through the air outside, but also inside the building? That’s what triggered the internal motion detectors? (not flashing lights or car headlights) right? That’s creepy,” a Facebook user posted. “It looks like smoke,” added another. “You can see the poltergeist walking past the camera. Very cool,” commented a third. “So shall we talk about the jump cut in the video during the ‘ghost’ time? Or that the time code in the upper right corner jumps from 02:29:30 to 02:31:04? But yes, totally legit, supernatural behavior ‘caught on camera’,” wrote a fourth.
