Nearly 11-foot crocodile pays visit to police in South Africa

Police in South Africa were shocked after an unusual intruder turned up at a station – an almost 11ft crocodile. Yes, you read that right. After a ‘knock on the door’ of the station, the police had to call in reinforcements to deal with the dire situation.

“A local SAPS station near Mandeni called for help at around 10pm on Wednesday night due to a crocodile behind the station. A team responded to the station to investigate and found a large, adult crocodile. As the situation is unique, the decision was made to call for help from a local, Ashton Musgrave, who has experience in safely catching crocodiles,” IPSS S&R, a non-profit organization that offers free search and rescue services, posted on Facebook. IPSS S&R further announced: “The crocodile was safely captured and loaded onto the back of a waiting vehicle. The crocodile was measured at a massive 3.3m! Following discussions with the relevant authorities, the crocodile will be moved to the Hluhluwa area this morning. A big thank you to the local community and to everyone who helped bring the crocodile to safety.”

In addition, the page also shared a picture of them catching a crocodile and tying it to a truck to transport it safely.
