Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Somebody, a biopic directed by Kasi Lemmons and starring Naomi Ackie, was released on December 23, 2022. Stanley Tucci, Ashton Sanders, Tamara Tunie, Nafessa Williams and Clarke Peters appeared in supporting roles.
The film received mixed reviews but did not receive a Golden Globe nomination. The final scene of the biopic shows the singer getting drunk in a hotel bathtub.
