Getting Photoshop for free isn’t as easy as it used to be, but there are still a few techniques worth trying if you need to use Photoshop and don’t have the funds to purchase or subscribe. There are also excellent free alternatives worth considering if you can get away with editing photos or images in another app.

Download the free trial version
The best way to get Photoshop for free, at the time of writing, is with a free trial. You’ll need to enter your credit card information, but you can cancel before it expires and enjoy a truly free trial.
Step 1: Go to the Adobe website and select Free trial or Buy now.
Adobe will offer you three different free trial options at this time. They all offer Photoshop and they all offer a seven-day free trial. But they all have different prices and benefits other than access to Photoshop, so choose the one that best suits your needs and pay attention to the prices because you’ll pay if you don’t remember to cancel your subscription before the free trial ends. When you’re ready to choose a plan, choose the plan that fits Start a free trial button.
Step 2: There are two options to choose from:
Just Photoshop, with a seven-day free trial and $21 per month after that, or the entire Creative Cloud suite of apps, which gives you Photoshop and more than 20 other Adobe apps for $55 per month, with a seven-day free trial.
From the monthly or annual payment options on the right, select the one that suits you, then select Continue.

Step 3: Choose whether you want to include an Adobe Stock subscription (with its own seven-day free trial) and select To add or No Thanks.
Step 4: Enter your payment information and then select Start a free trial
Step 5: Download the app and install it according to the on-screen instructions. If you don’t already have an Adobe account, you’ll need to create one, but sign in to the app anyway.
Step 6: Now you can start using Photoshop as you would any other application. Just make sure you cancel your subscription before the seven days are up if you don’t want to continue paying for access.
It’s incredibly difficult to get another free trial on Adobe, since they track and log all downloads on your computer. You can try removing Photoshop from your computer or use another computer and sign in with a new Adobe account. These methods may bring additional trial, but it is important to note that it does not always end in victory for you.
