Edelweiss CEO shares how better infrastructure can lead to a productive nation

Radhika Gupta, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Edelweiss Asset Management Company spoke to Xu to emphasize how better infrastructure helps foster a more productive and efficient nation. Based on her personal experience, she pointed out how long it takes to commute to work in Mumbai and how that travel time is shorter in other parts of the world.

“Regardless of how many hours we choose to work, one thing we spend disproportionately more hours on compared to many countries is commuting… in Mumbai, often 3-4 hours a day, taking up so much energy. Other parts of the world are often 15-30 minutes away, or when longer, in easier conditions. Better infrastructure will be key in making us a more productive nation,” wrote Radhika Gupta on X.
