Customer receives damaged kitchen chimney from Flipkart, company responds

An individual ordered a kitchen chimney through Flipkart and received the order on October 6. After unpacking it, he was shocked to find that he had received a broken kitchen chimney. The man then approached Flipkart’s customer service, but to no avail. When his problem went unsolved for days, he took to X to share the unboxing video and pictures of the chimney he received.

In one of his tweets, a customer using PD on X wrote, ā€œFlipkart has not provided a solution till date. Submitted on 06 Oct 23 Tarikh pe tarikh de raha hai Flipkart [Flipkart is giving me dates]. @jagograhakjago @nch1915 @flipkartsupport @Flipkart Please help @AdvisorLaborLaw I also filed a complaint on NCH platform @jagograhakjago. Please help.” He also shared several photos and a video.

Flipkart then responded saying it was ‘resolving’ the issue, but it remained unresolved for several days. The man has now confirmed that the issue has been resolved after a 25-day wait. This resolution comes after a number of tweets and a complaint to the National Consumer Helpline (NCH).

On October 31, a customer shared on a microblogging platform that the company took delivery of the damaged product and issued a refund after 25 days.

This, however, is not the first time a customer has received a damaged or wrong product from Flipkart. Earlier, an individual claimed that he got Thomson TV instead of Sony TV from Flipkart. He further added that the product was unpacked by a Sony TV technician, who was shocked to find another TV inside the Sony TV box, and that too without accessories.
