You can now buy Steam Deck parts. Here’s how much they cost

Have you already accidentally broken your Steam Deck and want to fix it yourself? Valve has partnered with iFixit to offer self-repair tools and replacement parts designed specifically for the handheld system.

Steam Deck tools and replacement parts officially went live on Monday after iFixit accidentally discovered the entire catalog over the weekend, as reported by IGN . At that time the company chirped that they will respect the Steam Deck owner’s orders that issued them before removing the page.

Now that they’re officially available, Steam Deck owners will be able to get any replacement part at an affordable price. However, the prices of some parts depend on whether you want to get the part itself or if you want to get a repair kit to go with it. For example, the Steam Deck battery costs $90 on its own, but costs $95 if you buy it with the tool kit.

Prices also depend on the Steam Deck model you own — at least for replacement screens. If you have the 64GB or 256GB model, then a replacement screen for that will cost you $65 or $70. For the 512GB model, you would have to pay between $95 and $100 to replace the broken screen.

These parts and more come three months after iFixit released its Steam Deck teardown video showing how easy it is to repair the system without spending money to have someone else fix it for you. At the time, the company gave the Steam Deck a 7 out of 10 repairability rating, noting the difficulty of replacing the trigger button and battery.
