Monster Hunter titles are known for their deep and complicated RPG systems. Early on, stocking up on basic supplies meant venturing into the wilderness for mushrooms, honey, and old bones. In more recent releases, however, a lot of manual labor has been shifted to systems that collect goods while you’re out there bashing in monster skulls.
The farm doesn’t exist in the latest edition though. Instead, here’s how to grow honey for potions and other essential items Monster Hunter Rise.
How to farm honey and other items in Monster Hunter Rise

Instead of relying on NPCs to farm honey, bugs, seeds, and other must-have hunting items, you’ll send your Palico or Palamute friends to find the goods instead. The farm still exists in all but name. Instead of being its own entity in the village of Kamura, it was incorporated directly into the returning merchant ship Argosy.
To get to Argosy, head across the bridge in the village of Kamura. You’ll end up in Buddy Plaza, where you’ll find Rondine the Trader by the ship on your left. This is Argosy, a return feature that allows you to dictate a selection of rare goods that you want the skipper to occasionally bring you for purchase. It’s a great way to get extra crafting materials from time to time, but you won’t know exactly what you’ll get each time.
In addition, the Order Items menu on Argosy allows you to send your pets on submarines to fetch products from neighboring countries. The fact that you only use points to increase their yield essentially mimics the idea of ”growing” goods yourself on a farm in previous games, making it more or less the exact same feature.
To access the feature and send your pets to farm honey and other versatile goods, tap the Order Items menu, select Trade Requests, and you’ll be presented with slots to assign Palico or Palamute to. Tell them what you want them to forage for and they’ll be sent to a submarine to grab it.
Unlike Argosy (and much more so than a traditional farm), you won’t have to wait for your pets to return to claim your goods. Items collected by your pet friend between quests can be retrieved at any time and will not interrupt their journey. They will continue to collect until you tell them to stop.
How to Use Buddy Bargaining to Increase Undersea Items in Monster Hunter Rise

The Buddy Bargaining system replaces fertilizers from previous games to increase the number of items returned to the submarine.
Simply click on an occupied submarine slot in the Buddy Bargaining menu to begin. By using different amounts of points, you can increase the rate at which your friends collect items, the amount they bring back after each mission, or even the speed at which they return rare items. You will unlock more as you complete missions.
Each negotiation skill is only valid for a predetermined amount of time, so be sure to reapply the effect regularly to maximize your gains. You can even use rare items like Lagniapple to apply another boost on top.
How to unlock more submarine slots in Monster Hunter Rise
Just like a farm, you can have multiple items coming in at once or assign multiple pets to farm the same items to naturally increase yield. Only one submarine slot is unlocked from the start, but if you complete missions and periodically check in with Rondine, she will offer additional side missions and requests that, when completed, will unlock more submarine slots.
