The hosts are fashion designer Tan France and model Gigi Hadid, who took over from Alexa Chung after the first season. The show features designers from around the world competing for a chance to win $250,000 and showcase their collection on the site of luxury fashion retailer Net-a-Porter. In June 2020, Netflix announced the cancellation of the series after its first season. However, the show’s Instagram account announced that Tan France and Gigi Hadid will host the second season. The second season of NIF premiered on March 3, 2023.

Nigel is a denim expert who uses patchwork and textile manipulation techniques to create extraordinary outfits. According to Tudum, Next in Fashion Season 2 winner Nigel Xavier has been hailed as a “denim wizard”.
