This unannounced update, tagged as Android 13 build TQ3A.230805.001.S1 with a patch date of November, provided a pleasant surprise for Pixel 4a owners. This shows Google’s commitment to providing continuous support and updates for their devices, even after the originally announced end of support date, which is great news for users.

Although the Pixel 4a is not scheduled for the Android 14 update, it has received the latest November security patch that will likely fix the flaws.
The update will likely be the last for the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 models before the sun goes down. According to Google, the Pixel 5 was eligible for the update in October 2023. On the other hand, the Pixel 4a 5G model was expected to receive the patch for November 2023. However, Google has decided to roll out one more final update to the units before ending support for them.
