The creation, however, did not impress netizens, so many asked why she decided to create the dress. Some also added that it was ‘not a good idea’.

Instagram user and designer Hannah Liz Jacob wrote, “Upcycle story,” alongside the video she posted. The clip opens to show her picking up a red shopping bag and saying how she’s going to turn it into a crop top.
The video shows the entire process of making the dress. It ends with the designer wearing her creation and using the remaining part of the bag as a clutch.

“I understand your intentions, but this just doesn’t make sense. You could use the bag for groceries or maybe you can also use it for potters. If you want to make a garment, just recycle old bed sheets, tablecloths and sarees. A paper bag for a crop top is not a good idea. Not trying to throw you off here, just take this as feedback,” the Instagram user expressed. “Why, I just want to know why,” added another. “It’s a joke,” joined a third.
“I respect your creativity, but is it safe and comfortable to wear outside,” commented a fourth. To which the designer replied, “Yes, actually, you can wear it over a shirt/t-shirt and there should be no problem with comfort. You won’t be hot either.” The fifth wrote: “But why?”
A few, however, said they liked the designer’s creativity. Just like this person who posted, “I’m taking your hard work and patience away.” Another commented: “Just wow.”
