Another said, “If I tell people to ring at midnight, and one person rings at 11:55 and another at 12:03, who rang closest to the time I ordered?”

A third commented: “They intentionally made the question ambiguous to get the conversation going. The answer is D. However, by not specifying what midnight was, either the previous day or the current day, they left it open to interpretation.”

“D is the only answer that makes sense any way you look at it,” shared a fourth.

Peti added: “They didn’t say, ‘How fast is midnight coming?’ they asked what was close, and it was D. It’s now 3 minutes past midnight, which makes it the closest. Rocket science people. Go back to school, please.”

A sixth announced, “There are two midnights in this question. Last day and current day. So I’d say the answer is A and D.”
