User X, a lawyer by profession, shared not only a mathematical puzzle but also a list of questions she had about it. Do you think you’ll be able to solve it, or will you end up with your own set of brainteaser questions?

X user Michelle Strowhiro wrote, “Hey #lawtwitter, I have a question” while sharing the image. A question is written on the picture that reads: “Sam and Jesse can wash 5 cars every hour. They work 7 hours every day for 2 days. How many cars did Sam and Jesse wash?”

Strowhiro then listed a series of questions in her tweet. “Do Sam & Jesse wash a total of 5 cars every hour or 5 cars per person every hour?” she wrote. “Just because Sam & Jesse ‘can’ wash 5 cars every hour, are we to assume they can?” she added.

He then jokingly wonders if her confusion about the question has anything to do with her being a lawyer. “Did math get harder since I was in third grade or did law school destroy me?” she chirped.

Since it was shared on November 8, the post has garnered close to a million views. It also collected several likes and comments. While some tried to answer, others had their own questions.

Here’s how X users react to the puzzle:

“The answers to #1 and #2 depend on whether you represent Sam, Jesse, Sam + Jesse, or the car wash,” user X joked. “That math question had to be reviewed by the English teacher,” added another.

“Tears shed over mathematics in primary school are often from parents. I remember problems like this and my inability to help with homework. I couldn’t turn my brain off enough to make the problem as simple as I intended. My advice – take everything for granted. Good luck,” joined a third. “Equal or less than 140,” replied the fourth. “The numbers drive me crazy,” wrote a fifth.
