Pastor and father-of-six Hunter Ridge Healey was able to film the hawk blending into a tree – before suddenly flying away.

The brown-feathered hawk is almost impossible to make out in the thick line of branches – but it’s actually sitting on the right.

Alabama is home to many species of hawks, including the red-shouldered hawk, red-tailed hawk, sharp-shinned hawk, broad-winged hawk, and Cooper’s hawk.

Other birds of prey live in the state, such as the American kestrel, the great owl, the osprey and the golden eagle.
