Nneka Ihim is the daughter of Leo and Bridget Egbujiobi. Her parents had her as Nneka Colleen Egbujiobi in September 1987.

Since arriving in Beloit in 1994, Leo has been at the forefront of Beloit Health System’s efforts to bring new cardiac procedures and treatments to patients in the area. In the summer of 2007, he worked with cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. Peter Marks to perform the first open heart (coronary bypass) surgery in Beloit.
dr. Leo also established the Egbujiobi Family Award for Excellence in Cardiac Care in 2003, which is presented annually to a Beloit Health System staff member who has demonstrated superior service and leadership in the care of cardiac patients. His generosity and volunteer spirit extended beyond the borders of Beloit and this country. He helped build a hospital in his native Nigeria and often returns there to provide free care to patients in need. Leo received his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in 1987. He completed his residency and internship at the University of Wisconsin-Mount Sinai Medical Center in Milwaukee from 1988 to 1991. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases and Internal Medicine.
