In the weeks since Bravo’s launch, Under Deck Adventure Season 1 has caused a lot of controversy. In episode 3, Captain Kerry Titheradge fired sailor Kyle Dickard for misbehaving with another crew member. In some episodes, the crew is also understaffed. Seth Jacobson, a new sailor, joined the show in episode 7. Upon arrival, the newcomer immediately became the center of attention because of his flirtation with the main stew Faye Clarke.
Although he joined Captain Kerry’s ship as a sailor, Seth had more experience than most of his colleagues. Seth, a trained yacht captain, was employed in a low-level position on Mercury because he had never worked in Europe.

Seth was born in Maryland and grew up in Chesapeake Beach on Chesapeake Bay, where his father owned numerous boats. He started working as a bartender in Fort Lauderdale, Florida at the age of 21 and has 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry. At the same time, Seth began his career in the yachting industry by wandering the docks in search of daily work.
On Bravo’s website, his biography reads:
“Seth Jacobson grew up in New England and was often at sea. He came to Fort Lauderdale at the age of 21 as a bartender and roamed the docks in search of a day job and a path into the yachting industry. He’s become a qualified captain performing his momentum throughout his career.”
It continued:
“Always taking on new challenges, Seth has surpassed himself on the Mercury as he has never worked in Europe before. Can Seth put his expertise aside and work with the crew? It will be difficult for him to forget that he is no longer the captain?”
Only time will tell whether Seth will be a team player or try to be the captain of the team on deck.

When will Bravo show Adventures Under Deck Season 1 Episode 8?
The first season of Adventures Under the Deck airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET and on Peacock the following day. The next episode, Raise Yourself, will air on Bravo on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at 9:00 p.m. ET. Faye and Seth will continue to flirt in the upcoming episode 1 of Under Deck Adventure. We’ll see them both tense up with their positions as decks.
