US President Joe Biden recently welcomed drag queen Marti Cummings to the White House to sign the Respect for Marriage Act. Cummings took to Twitter to post a photo of the digital invitation, thanking President Barack Obama and First Lady Jill Biden for the opportunity. They stated:
“Becoming a non-binary drag artist invited to the White House is something I never dreamed would happen. Thank you to President Obama and Dr. Biden for inviting me to this historic signing. “Gratitude doesn’t begin to explain how I feel.”

Cummings also tweeted a video of her singing Baby Shark and performing drag in front of a young man at an event in 2019. They also supported the concept of teaching scissors to young people, writing:
