Margaret June Blair was born in San Francisco, California on October 30, 1932. Her parents abandoned her when she was young, her father when she was 8 months old and her mother when she was three years old. Blair was raised as a ward of the state of California and raised by eight different households. Blair is married to David Nelson and has two children with him, Daniel Blair Nelson and Jamie Eric Nelson.

June Blair was a model before making her debut on CBS’s Our Miss Brooks in 1956 as a columnist for Miss Lonelyhearts, opening the door to working with entertainment giant 20th Century Fox. In January 1957, she appeared in Playboy’s Game of the Month. Soon after, she starred in Hell Bound alongside John Russell as a woman involved in the drug trade.
June Blair acted in two films in 1959: The Rabbit Trap and Island of Lost Women. In the first, she played a sensitive assistant, and in the second as one of three children of nuclear physicist Alan Napier, with Diane Jergens and Venetia Stevenson. June Blair married David Nelson in April 1961 after meeting on the set of Two Faces West. They married a month later at Church of the Hills in Los Angeles, California. Her most notable role was in the 1960s comedy The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet, in which she previously appeared with several characters. In episode 3 of season 10, she was suddenly introduced as Mrs. June Nelson, David Nelson’s wife, making viewers bewildered. Blair appeared in 28 episodes of the show, which lasted until its final season in 1966.
Her other 1957 credits include Top Secret Affair, Conflict, This Could Be Night, Man of a Thousand Faces, Single Father, and My Man Godfrey, along with Hell Bound.
